Making Room for More People

Fall 2026 Building Together Offering | November 29

Our vision is to see an Edmonton region saturated with people who know Jesus, love Jesus, and are helping others follow Him. As our city continues to grow, we believe there are tremendous opportunities to reach more people with the hope of the gospel.

And we're encouraged by what God is doing. People are coming to faith, being baptized, growing as disciples, and finding community. Our church family continues to grow and multiply, and this fall we've celebrated the launch of our fourth congregation at McDougall, right in the heart of downtown Edmonton.

Building Together is one way we invest in this mission. Since 2017, our church family has generously supported the renewal and development of our facilities, reduced debt, and helped create spaces where worship, discipleship, community, and outreach can happen.

These investments are making a difference. And as we look ahead, we're excited to continue making room for more people to know Jesus.

Our Priorities for the Year Ahead

Sherwood Park — Transforming Our Basement

Our biggest immediate renovation priority is the Sherwood Park basement. As this congregation continues to grow, we want to transform the basement into a bright, welcoming, and functional space for kids ministry, midweek programs, and community outreach.

This is the first phase of a larger vision for Sherwood Park, which could eventually include an expanded auditorium, an elevator to make the basement accessible, and additional ministry space.

McDougall — Bringing a Historic Building Back to Life

In October, we launched weekly worship services at McDougall, establishing a new congregation in the heart of downtown Edmonton.

Over the past year, we've completed major auditorium repairs, audiovisual upgrades, washroom renovations, and much of the exterior brick restoration. In the year ahead, we'll focus on the kids ministry wing, classrooms, supporting ministry spaces, and remaining brickwork.

Parking and rental revenue are helping sustain the facility, while Building Together gifts help us continue the restoration and reduce the amount we need to borrow.

Southeast — Preparing for Future Growth

Since purchasing our Southeast facility in 2017, we've established a vibrant ministry home for worship, discipleship, community life, and a partner daycare serving neighbourhood families.

Our primary Building Together priority is to continue reducing the mortgage, working toward the goal of becoming debt-free. This will create greater financial freedom and help us prepare for future possibilities, including purchasing additional bays to expand ministry space.

Connors Hill — Completing the Renewal

Through Building Together, we've renewed much of our Connors Hill facility, including the sanctuary, gym, fireside room, and basement. These spaces are now supporting growing ministries, community events, and a daycare serving local families.

We're approaching the final stages of this major renewal, with some remaining infrastructure improvements, updated entrances, and outdoor spaces still ahead. We're also continuing to dream about the north lot and its potential for future ministry and neighbourhood outreach.

One Church Family. One Shared Vision.

Each site has different needs and opportunities, but we're pursuing this vision together.

Our buildings aren't the mission. They're tools that help us gather for worship, grow as disciples, welcome our neighbours, and reach more people with the gospel.

And we're grateful to be part of something bigger than Central, joining with Christians and churches across Edmonton to see believers, leaders, and churches mature and multiply.

Fall Building Together Offering — November 29

Throughout November, we're inviting our church family to prayerfully consider making a special gift or monthly commitment to Building Together, over and above regular giving.

You can give to Building Together as a whole, allowing funds to be directed toward our current priorities, or designate your gift toward a particular Central site.

Our offering day is Sunday, November 29, but gifts can be made at any time throughout the month.

Thank you for your generosity and for being part of what God is doing. Together, we're continuing to make room for more people to know Jesus as we follow Him together.
